How to Enter the Contest
Eligibility
• Open to hunters 18 years or older
• Turkey must be legally harvested in Kentucky
• Harvest must occur during the 2026 Kentucky Spring Turkey Season (April 18 – May 10)
• Hunters must follow all Kentucky Fish & Wildlife regulations
The hunt is on. As entries roll in, we’ll update the Gobbler Showdown Leaderboard right here. Come back often to see who’s climbing the ranks and who’s chasing the Turtlebox prize and Turkey Calls.

Contest Details
• Open to hunters 18 years or older
• Turkey must be legally harvested in Kentucky
• Harvest must occur during the 2026 Kentucky Spring Turkey Season (April 18 – May 10)
• Hunters must follow all Kentucky Fish & Wildlife regulations
Participation Requirements:
To qualify for the contest participants must:
1. Follow the Boone in the Woods Facebook page
2. Join the Boone in the Woods email list
3. Submit entry by email
Participants are encouraged to post their turkey photo on the official pinned contest Facebook post, share the contest posts, and tag hunting buddies to spread the word about the contest.
Entry Submission:
All entries must be submitted by email to: booneinthewoods@gmail.com
Entries must include:
• Hunter’s name
• City or county where turkey was harvested
• Date harvested
• Whole turkey weight (not field dressed)
• Beard length
• Spur length (optional but encouraged)
• Photo of hunter with harvested turkey
Photo Guidelines:
Photos must:
• Include the hunter with the turkey
• Clearly show the turkey
• Display the beard if possible
• Show the harvest in an ethical and respectful manner
Boone in the Woods reserves the right to reject inappropriate or graphic images.
Measurement Guidelines:
Weight
Weight must be the whole turkey (not field dressed).
Beard Length
Measured from the base of the beard at the chest to the tip of the longest strand.
Spur Length
Measured from the leg to the tip of the spur.
Entry Deadline:
All entries must be received by May 11 at 11:59 PM CST.
Grand Prize:
Turtlebox Ranger Portable Speaker
Retail Value: $260
Winner will be announced on the Boone in the Woods Facebook page.

Media Release:
By submitting an entry, participants grant Boone in the Woods permission to share submitted photos on social media and promotional materials.
Contest Integrity:
Boone in the Woods reserves the right to verify measurements and harvest information and may disqualify any entry deemed inaccurate or unethical.
